WHAT WILL YOU DO

SmartLynx Airlines is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Base Maintenance Technical Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical follow-up of maintenance checks, providing onsite support, and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role involves supervising contracted maintenance providers, attending daily production meetings, and ensuring effective communication between all teams involved.

Key Responsibilities:

<ul>
	<li>Perform the technical follow-up of maintenance checks.</li>
	<li>Provide onsite support at the station where base maintenance is being performed.</li>
	<li>Supervise contracted maintenance providers/suppliers.</li>
	<li>Attend MRO production daily meetings and provide daily reports to the SmartLynx Airlines Technical Team.</li>
	<li>Ensure all tasks are on track to ensure aircraft compliance with planned Turnaround Time (TAT).</li>
	<li>Control costs associated with assigned base maintenance checks.</li>
	<li>Encourage clear communication between all SmartLynx teams and maintenance providers to resolve possible conflicts.</li>
	<li>Ensure agreed Man Hours (MH) and materials are adequate for defect rectification.</li>
	<li>Conduct random documentation and defect rectification quality checks.</li>
	<li>Ensure all findings are clearly recorded and reported.</li>
	<li>Ensure all structural repairs are performed in accordance with the Structural Repair Manual (SRM) or as per the Airbus Instructions Bulletin (AIB).</li>
	<li>Verify that additional man-hours raised are genuinely out of the scope of the check.</li>
	<li>Complete and sign Aircraft Delivery Certificates prepared by the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization.</li>
	<li>Update Maintenance Control Center (MCC)/Software Tracking Program (STP) against all remaining open Minimum Equipment List (MEL) items after the check.</li>
	<li>Analyze the outcome of each base maintenance event and propose mitigating actions.</li>
	<li>Perform other tasks assigned by the Base Maintenance Project Coordinator.</li>
</ul>

Air Canada is presently looking for a dynamic individual to fill a permanent full-time position as a Facility Maintenance Mechanic at the Calgary Airport. 
Description:&nbsp;

<ul>
<li>Perform preventative maintenance &amp; servicing to Building related mechanical equipment. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Investigate and troubleshoot faulty Hangar Doors, Overhead doors, fire doors, motors, gear boxes, etc.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to install, maintain, repair, dismantle, and reassemble machinery.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to use welding equipment, hand, and power tools as necessary.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Perform minor repairs including replacement of gearboxes, sprockets, chains, door panels&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Perform visual inspections of buildings to maintain Building Code standards.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ensure all work is completed in a safe manner and complies with applicable industry standards.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Performing other facility related duties as requested.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Team oriented individual with demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and self directed.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Must posses a valid DVS (Diploma of Vocational Studies). &nbsp;</li>
<li>Must posses valid Driver’s licence with clean abstract  &nbsp;</li>
<li>Must posses an Interprovincial Journeyman Millwright license or Red Seal  &nbsp;</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years field experience. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Knowledge of building mechanics, Hangar door systems, control systems, Mechanical system operation, MIG welding, CMMS   &nbsp;</li>
<li>Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be detailed oriented. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel, e-mail and internet). &nbsp;</li>
<li>Employees in this role, conduct safety-critical work and as such, Air Canada medical standards must be met in order to qualify for the role.
