The Role
The role of Air Traffic Control Officer is a key position within our Air Traffic Control Team.
The role holder will have experience of controlling air traffic in a previous position and be able to think laterally and remain calm under pressure. This is a safety critical role which demands a high level of personal responsibility to deliver to regulated quality standards and necessary timescales to ensure continuity of service.
The role holder must:
- Maintain the required competence level in both ADI and APP functions;
- Conform with regulations contained within CAA publications, local unit publications and all other documentation to assure the safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic;
- Analyse any controlling actions taken for effectiveness and safety and to interpret if the desired outcome has been achieved.
