This position is based in Honolulu, HI with required travel to nearby islands as needed.
The pay range for the position is a minimum of $38.00/hour to a maximum of $40.00/hour.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder and lift work required. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand and eye coordination is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Active airport operation with vehicular traffic, lift/ladder/rooftop type work. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical power, high/precarious places; and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

- Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and support for industrial controls systems.
- Provide service and customer support on site and during island visits.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
- Provide assessments, reports, and repairs to equipment on site.
- Provide documentation, parts lists, procedures, and estimates as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Two years' minimum industrial automation experience, preferably in the field of industrial controls systems, conveyance, or material handling.
- Familiar with control net systems
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience and proficiency including diagnosis/troubleshooting, monitoring, and logic modification/creation with Allen Bradley products and Beckhoff (Modicon, Siemens, Square D a plus).
- Practical knowledge and proficiency with servers, workstations, industrial PCs (hardware and software).
- Operating system installation, configuration, and proficiency (Windows XP - 10, Server, Linux).
- Network proficiency including routers, switches, IP addressing, subnets, etc.
- Ability to demonstrate and train technicians on maintenance procedures and troubleshooting.
- Ability to communicate effectively on high levels (written and verbal).
- Must possess a valid driver license, and the ability to pass an FAA/Customs/ Security Background Check.
- Ability to pass drug screen & pre-employment physical.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a self-directed environment.
- Experience in troubleshooting and installing motor controls a plus.
- Industrial monitoring software (Wonderware, Rs-View, Cimplicity, SCADA products) a plus
- Current electrical license preferred
- Ability to travel between Hawai'ian islands
