Role Introduction


 

Reports to: Head of Transform Projects

Department: ENG - Engineering

The role in Engineering is centered on ensuring safety and reliability, both for our staff and customers. It aims to maintain industry-leading performance across all operations and ensure that our fleet programs meet their objectives in terms of cost, timing, and technical specifications. Our goal is for the Engineering team to be recognized globally as a top-performing, customer-focused, and innovative group.

The Engineering Transform and Digital Manager is pivotal in this context, tasked with leading and executing technology and digital initiatives that enhance our operational capabilities and set new industry standards.

Key Responsibilities


 

The Engineering Transform and Digital Manager is accountable for leading IT Technology projects, working with the IT department and relevant Engineering business units to deliver enhanced or new IT systems and functions driving continous improvements in operational excellence. In areas of safety, automation, process efficiencies and digital transformation

Responsible for:

  • Oversee opportunities for enhancement and deliver major IT projects to improve Engineering IT systems
  • Evaluate the holistic impact of business requirements on IT solutions and explore alternative solutions
  • Implement successful IT enhancements and change management across Engineering business units
  • Contribute to the development of company-wide and Engineering-specific digitalization objectives
  • Assess and ensure adequacy and integration of IT solutions to support business needs

The Engineering Transform and Digital Manager is accountable for providing data insights and analytics solutions to Engineering, which are too complex for business unit self-service, and to drive Engineering’s Digital Transformation

Responsible for:

  • Delivering insights and analytics to relevant business problems
  • Working with corporate Digital to build an Engineering data model that supports Engineering needs
  • Providing Engineering Subject Matter Expert knowledge on Engineering data and analytics tools
  • Championing Engineering data analytics self-service community
  • Championing Engineering Power Suite self-service community

Requirements


 

  • Degree in Engineering/ Aerospace/ IT Analytics discipline or a proven data analysis role 
  • Typically, 10 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance and/or engineering 
  • Proven experience in supervising and managing complex cross-functional projects 
  • Strong leadership skills. Proven ability to manage across departments; OEMs; lessors and suppliers
  • Strong in communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong drive for excellence 
  • Adaptable and responsive to change. Demonstrate ability to drive change
  • Proven ability to drive and manage multi-skilled teams
