Serving the UK and beyond with its premier fleet of Sikorsky and Leonardo helicopters based in the South of England, the Midlands, and the Channel Islands, Flexjet Helicopters is searching for Captains to join our growing organisation.
  • Maintain a high personal standard of discipline, conduct and appearance as a representative of the Company
  • Support the Chief Pilot, by active example, in the development and maintenance of a high standard of professional expertise and morale throughout the team
  • Support the Chief Pilot in the maintenance of a proper standard of crew discipline, conduct and personal appearance
  • Carry out such duties concerning the flight, in accordance with Company Operations Manual, including procedures, limitations and performance relating to the specific aircraft Type
  • Support an open and honest Flight Safety culture which promotes good CRM throughout the company and ensures risks are reduced to their absolute minimum
  • As required, submit appropriate Company safety reports and report discrepancies/ defects through the appropriate channels.
  • Maintain a current medical certificate as required by the Company and notify the Operations team if a medical (physical or mental) condition may impair their ability to perform the flight
  • Manage and delegate administrative duties in relation to the flight
  • Maintain a high degree of crew coordination, performing duties in a professional, efficient, and cordial manner at all times
  • Responsible to the Operations team, Head of Crew Training and Chief Pilot for duty assignments and training
  • Greet passengers and assist with passenger seating/ luggage storage in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Conduct passenger briefings as required
  • Perform other duties as required by the business

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Valid UK ATPL (H) or CAA CPL(H), or EASA equivalent acceptable for a validation
    • Current Instrument Rating
    • 1800 hours Rotary Total Time
    • MP experience valuable
    • Valid UK Class 1 Medical
    • EASA Class 1 Medical desirable
    • EASA ATPL (H) desirable
    • Hold a valid UK Passport or Right to work in the UK
    • Holder of an ELP (English Language Proficiency) Rating on UK License - minimum level 5
  • S-92, AW139, S-76, or AW109 type rating
  • Must possess the legal right to work in the UK and have the ability to travel in and out of Europe and to all cities/countries where Flexjet Helicopters serves
  • Ability to work weekends, nights, shifts, holidays, and overnight trips
  • Employment is predicated on successful completion of Line Training that includes a Type Rating on the aircraft sought

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Working knowledge of all applicable CAA/EASA Regulations
  • Previous experience in Commercial or Corporate aircraft desirable
  • Previous Military or North Sea experience desirable
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal/written and presentation skills are necessary to perform job at the expected level
  • Strong organisational skills & advanced multi-tasking abilities
  • Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, email and web-based applications
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and thrives in a team environment

WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions including extreme heat and cold; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration; chemicals including aviation fuels and oils. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In addition to the requirement to hold a Class 1 Medical certificate, the Pilot must be able to complete the day-to-day tasks associated with the operation of a helicopter. This includes but is not limited to loading and unloading of bags, accomplish a thorough pre-flight and post flight inspection, assist with snow removal during inclement weather, installation and the removal of engine covers and the daily internal and external cleaning of aircraft, as required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move heavy baggage, in excess of 20 kgs.
