Role Introduction


 

Reports to: Components & Powerplants Manager

Departments: ENG - Engineering

This role is part of our Engineering Department who are focused on reassurance, keeping our people and our customer’s safe, ensuring that in every aspect of our operation. we have industry leading performance and that our various fleet programmes are delivering to plan, budget and specification.

In this role, you will be responsible for the availability of compliant aircraft rotables and repairables including airframe & cabin LRU’s, APU’s, powerplants and tooling/GSE against agreed service levels and budgeted costs.

Key Responsibilities


 

  • Source, review and manage the approval of repair shops
  • Assist CX Procurement with contracting comprehensive repair contracts.
  • Manage the end-to-end repair process for rotables and repairables and the Quick Engine Change (QEC) build-up/build-down process
  • Oversee the Inventory Technical Management (ITM) pool service providers
  • Ensure that CX-owned rotables and repairables are properly provisioned § Proper vetting and clearing of supplier invoices
  • Support of other departments to resolve parts shortages
  • Participate in cross-functional LEAN process improvement projects
  • Set up budgets for repair and ITM activities and monitor actual costs
  • Manage engine storage at on-site and off-site locations and the initial provisioning process for new aircraft systems and types

Requirements


 

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in aircraft maintenance and/or engineering processes.
  • More than 2 years in an Associate Inventory Controller’s role (or equivalent)
  • Degree in Engineering / Aerospace or Logistics discipline or other relevant field
  • Good analytical skills and process-oriented. Accurate and thorough Good commercial and financial awareness and acumen
  • Ability to work with external suppliers to extract maximum value from contracts.
  • Strong in communication skills. Ability to report clearly and concisely

  • Adaptable and responsive to change. Ability to implement defined process changes Proven ability to execute assigned tasks with limited supervision
