About This Role

About This Role:

This role will be responsible to the KC-30A Key Account Manager (KAM) and will report to the KC-30A Lead Instructor for provision of training, administrative and subject matter expertise support applicable to KC-30A Pilot conversion course (PCC), secondary upgrade courses and currency training, as well as liaise with other resident instructional staff as required.

The KC-30A Simulator Instructor is responsible to the KC-30A Lead instructor for the preparation, delivery, assessment, maintenance and evaluation of training and assessment materials, including delivery of training in the classroom, and simulator as required. Additionally, the role contributes to Aviation Safety Management related to their training platform reporting to the Lead Instructor.

This role will be based at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD.

The role we are offering you:
  • Conduct mission briefs and debriefs as appropriate.
  • Deliver simulator instruction to KC-30A pilot students.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of training material that supports syllabus delivery.
  • Engage with simulator maintenance technicians to report identified simulator issues.
  • Promotes and executes CAE's Quality Management System
  • Actively demonstrates and integrates safety practices in daily operations.

Our ideal candidate has:
  • At least 6 years of experience in Defence aviation training environment
  • Proven experience in leading and supervising a team.
  • Experience as a flight simulator instructor will be highly regarded.
  • Have, or ability to gain, a Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment or recognized experience.

Security requirements

As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
