As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will be supporting Jetstar Asia Engineering & Maintenance team on ensuring all necessary maintenance required is identified, carried out on time and approved to take to the skies. At every stage, all maintenance needs to be documented and detailed records maintained. This keeps our safety standards at the highest level and allows us to ensure that aircraft parts are ordered and available at all times. As part of the Jetstar Asia Engineering & Maintenance team, you will have the opportunity to ensuring the total airworthiness of our growing fleet of aircraft.

Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager, your main accountabilities will include:

Key responsibilities of this role are::
  • Carry out and certify for routine checks and defect rectifications on A320 / A321 aircraft systems and V2500 engines.
  • Carry out repairs to aircraft systems that may require exposure to or use hazardous equipment such as Fuel Tank repair, Hydraulic system repair, work at excessive heights such as using ground support equipment so as to reach top areas of the aircraft.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of airworthiness when performing inspections or maintenance duties.
  • All work is carried out using prescribed tools and equipment in accordance with the approved data and relevant work documents
  • Assist in the co-ordination of services with provided by other service providers.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:
  • Possess a valid CAAS B1 or B2 licence for A320 / A321 aircraft
  • Holders of B1 licence must also have V2500 engine endorsement
  • Holders of full B1 licence (with avionics extension) would be advantageous
  • In addition to CAAS licence, holders of Australian CASA licence with A320 / A321 endorsement would be preferred
  • A team player, self-motivated individual and able to work independently
  • Must be able and willing to work on shifts
  • Must be able and willing to perform duty on flights as well as overseas for extended periods as required
  • Maintenance controller experience will be an added advantage
