Reports to: Head of Maintenance and Engineering Transformation

Departments: ENG - Engineering

The Engineering role is crucial for maintaining safety and high performance standards across all operations. Our goal is to be recognized as one of the world’s leading, customer-focused, and innovative engineering teams.

Engineering is embarking on a significant project to upgrade our Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) IT system from Ultramain to a more advanced system. This upgrade is an opportunity to enhance business processes, adopt best practices, and transform our department.

The Change Manager is essential in overseeing the adoption of the new M&E system. This role involves strategic planning for change management, identifying and mitigating risks, and leading the implementation of the change plan. The Change Manager also advises on necessary organizational and skills adjustments, manages communication, and designs training for successful system integration.

The Change Manager’s efforts are vital in ensuring that the transition is smooth and that all stakeholders are aligned and supportive, thereby contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the Engineering department.

Key Responsibilities


 

  • Identify Organisational Change risks and opportunities, and provide a central approach covering organisational alignment, communication, stakeholder management and cultural / behavioural change
  • Develop the M&E change strategy and detailed methodology for the execution of the strategy, providing key supporting areas with local change issues coordination and implementation planning
  • Implement communication plans to all levels of Stakeholders impacted by M&E
  • Work with the M&E Transformation Manager to ensure that change items are embedded in the training activities, and that the Training Needs Analysis covers all identified stakeholders
  • Run best-practice Change Impact Assessments, identifying areas for change and develop change plans per Business Unit in order to implement the Change in accordance with the overall project timelines
  • Coach the Company’s management where processes and systems are changed
  • Escalate key changes to the M&E Steering groups so as to ensure the smooth implementation of the key organisational changes
  • Develop role based materials to focus on key roles impacted, and specific features of those roles that are critical to the change effected by M&E
  • Support the Change Management Process by creating system and business process acceptance and stakeholders’ engagement at all levels with specific measures

Requirements


 

  • Proficient in Change Management methodologies, notably Prosci's ADKAR, and familiar with current trends in the field
  • Extensive knowledge of core change management techniques, including impact and readiness assessments, stakeholder management, and training delivery and evaluation
  • Understands lean principles and practices
  • Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships at all organizational levels, effectively influencing senior management decisions
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, coaching, and engagement abilities
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experienced in leading structured changes within global and diverse organizations
  • Managed teams of change professionals in executing complex transformation programs
  • Skilled in business change management within a matrix environment and applying established change management practices
  • Over 10 years of experience in large-scale Engineering and IT change management projects, including workshop facilitation and stakeholder management
