EuropeWe are seeking a Maintenance Operations Controller for one of our reputable Clients on the beautiful island of Malta!
You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities of our Client's aircraft fleet. You will ensure that all maintenance operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in
compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will handle unscheduled maintenance and defects to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Act as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related issues, providing timely updates to relevant stakeholders on progress.
- Ensure that daily maintenance activities are conducted timely, adhering to company policies and regulatory standards. Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to resolve aircraft maintenance issues and manage AOG recovery.
- Schedule and prioritise maintenance tasks in coordination with maintenance teams, flight operations, and other departments to align with operational requirements.
- Quickly identify and resolve maintenance issues to minimise aircraft downtime and ensure operational efficiency, developing effective recovery plans.
- Oversee MEL and CDL use to ensure safety and compliance while managing deferred defects.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with EASA regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Maintain thorough documentation of maintenance tasks to support compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including logs, reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and efficiency, emphasising effective solutions and timely execution.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance working with A320 Type Aircraft.
- EASA Part 66 License (B1/B2) certification is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with Airbus maintenance manuals and documentation.
- Understanding of MEL, CDL, and regulatory compliance.
- Education: Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proficient command of the English language, encompassing both written and verbal communication, is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Computer literacy.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick, effective decisions.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying operational needs.
