We are seeking a dedicated Power Plant Engineer to join our team at SmartLynx Airlines. In this full-time role, you will focus on maintaining optimal fleet health, and ensuring safety and reliability through comprehensive monitoring, evaluation, and implementation of airworthiness directives and other regulatory requirements for our engines and APUs.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • You will ensure Engine Condition Trend Monitoring and take actions as required;
  • Monitor Fleet performance and initiate corrective actions and improvements to maintain fleet health;
  • Ensure instructions for engines and APUs related defect rectification to AMO are provided;
  • You will evaluate and accomplish any applicable airworthiness directive, emergency airworthiness directive, operational directive, or continued airworthiness requirements of engines and APUs;
  • Responsible for tracking and controlling non-mandatory Service Bulletins evaluation and implementation for engines and APUs;
  • Ensure data for reliability reports related to engines and APU is prepared and provided to the reliability engineer;
  • You will provide support on investigations for safety, regulatory, and reliability matters;
  • Supervise and Manage all defects, repairs, or modifications (Power Plants and APU);
  • You will be responsible for engine Shop visits, management, and table inspections;
  • Liaison with original equipment manufacturers and other external entities relevant to engines and APU;
  • Monitor and control subcontracted activities;
  • You will be responsible for monitoring if the subcontracted organization's activities are being performed to an approved standard of SmartLynx Airlines and in compliance with applicable regulations;
  • You will implement and control Engines and APUs LLPs to the OASES system;
  • Issue instructions, documents, or advice on the subject to economically support operations and return aircraft to service in a safe, airworthy, and timely manner related to engines and APUs.

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU

  • You must have at least 4 years of experience as a power plant engineer;
  • Graduate with a Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Experience at least on one of CFM56-5B / V2500 / Trent 700 / LEAP-1B engine types is mandatory;
  • Knowledge of failure analysis or root cause engineering,
  • Knowledge of turbofan engine operation, dynamics, performance, and build;
  • You must be familiar with aircraft engines and APU systems and components;
  • You can multitask and solve problems in a cost/time-efficient way;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within scheduled timelines;
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate assigned projects;
  • Good knowledge of EASA rules and regulations, Part-145 and Part-M;
  • Good knowledge of the English language;
  • Good knowledge and experience in operating computer software programs, and handling computer data and information.
