Senior Planning Engineer - Technical Records and Configurations

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe storage of the complete set of compliance related records, including aircraft and asset documents and technical maintenance records; ensuring aircraft configuration and component usage data in the Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) system are accurate to demonstrate compliance, preserve asset value and supporting a cost effective aircraft redelivery process.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up and maintaining aircraft records and configurations model accurately in M&E system per documented policy. Data setup and update processes should meet Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD), International Air Transport Association (IATA) or any other authorities’ requirements
- Ensuring responsible technical maintenance documents and data is provided and updated by suppliers such as Maintenance and Repair Organization (MRO) in timely manner per the contractual requirement. Other records such as aircraft / engine / APU statutory log books are updated per documented timeline for aircraft continuous compliance demonstration
- Preparing and auditing technical maintenance documents and records per IATA guidelines for aircraft re-delivery, and resolving issues found during records building process to eliminate potential cost exposure due to late or incomplete maintenance record
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders in resolving operational exception issue whenever raised
- Driving continuous improvement to streamline processes, improve quality and enhance productivity efficiency
Requirements
- Engineering degree or Aircraft Maintenance Licence is preferred
- Typically 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in aspects of aircraft maintenance, records and compliance requirements
- Experience of leading and delivering business process improvement
- Ability to build strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Good knowledge of Cathay Pacific maintenance and engineering systems preferable
