Dublin Aerospace is a Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) based in Dublin, Ireland, specialising in Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 series aircraft, Landing Gear and APU overhaul. We are a leading player in the MRO market in Europe and have established ourselves as a high quality, reliable service provider.

We have an exciting opportunity for a focused and dynamic Technical Trainer to help shape our learning culture within a challenging, fast paced and highly regulated environment.  Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, the Technical Trainer will be responsible for all aspects of technical training from design to delivery.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive annual technical training plan for Dublin Aerospace in accordance with the business needs, industry compliance, technical requirements and employee technical development.
  • Prepare a Dublin Aerospace technical training needs analysis.
  • Plan and co-ordinate the approved training plan in accordance with agreed timelines.
  • Provide oversight, liaison, and support of trainees and apprentices.
  • Develop, implement and manage e-learning training as an effective and efficient solution to deliver training.
  • Support the induction of new employees through appropriate training programmes.
  • Support the Compliance and Safety team through the delivery of SMS, Company Procedures and Health and Safety training.
  • Ensure accurate training records are maintained and updated in accordance with business requirements and to maintain compliance.
  • Identify and propose new training opportunities to improve the performance of the business.
  • Liaise with external bodies and internal stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Manage the training budget to achieve maximum return on investment and expenditure.
  • External & internal reporting as appropriate.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician or a level 7 qualification or above in an Aviation related field.
  • A training qualification, such as Train the Trainer, with demonstrable training instruction experience.
  • Knowledge of Part 147, Part 145 and Part 66 regulations, continuing airworthiness regulations and principles, technical planning and engineering processes is desirable.
  • Fluent English essential.
