Pilot (Functional Check Flight) MH-60R/MH-60S Description: Perform test flights to measure and demonstrate aircraft proficiency upon completion of aircraft maintenance or modification on the aircraft. Essential Responsibilities:/ <ul><li>Pilot and navigate the flight for the MH-60R helicopter.</li><li>Assist RSNF designated FCF Pilots with all portions of maintenance functional check flights, including preflight briefing, preflight, flight checks, post flight and all required FCF documentation.</li><li>Coordinate with maintenance contractors for in-flight troubleshooting discrepancies, and verifications of maintenance actions or repairs, by conducting ground and flight checks.</li><li>Guide and assist in managing an approved MH-60R Flight Operations Program in compliance with Navy flight manuals, instructions, directives, SOP's, and local directives.</li></ul> Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: <ul><li>Designation as a Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC).</li><li>Past designation as a MH-60R OR MH-60S Functional/Maintenance Check Pilot is required; current designation is desired. Current or previous designation as an instructor is desired.</li><li>Able to perform all duties independently. A minimum of 550 total flight hours, 50 Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC) hours in the MH-60R OR MH-60S, and 100 hours of MH-60R OR MH-60S FCF/Maintenance test fly is required.</li><li>A Secret security clearance is required.</li></ul> Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Must pass an aeronautical/flight physical. Pilot (Functional Check Flight) - MH-60R OR MH-60S

The CH-47F MTP - CH-47F Maintenance Test Pilot (CH-47F) obtains a detailed knowledge of operating in the AOR airspace. Must be proficient flying in day VFR conditions. Maintenance Test Pilot performs routine acceptance test of aircraft following corrective maintenance. <ul><li>CH-47F MTP - Maintenance Test Pilot, responsible for all matters pertaining to CH-47 maintenance operations.</li><li>A minimum of 1,000 hours of total PIC time is Preferred; with a minimum 300 hours of PIC on the CH-4F7 Required.</li><li>Satisfactorily completed a proficiency check within the previous 12 months. Must be qualified in the (CH-47F).</li><li>US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Clearance, and for facility and base access.</li><li>Valid US Passport is required for travel to Germany.</li><li>Ensures maintenance of all aircraft are in compliance set forth by appropriate maintenance manuals, operations directives, FAA compliance directives and contractual readiness rates.</li><li>Able to successfully complete all no-notice flight evaluations and exams in his/her primary aircraft.</li><li>Remains fully qualified in aircraft and perform as a crewmember when necessary.</li><li>Tests aircraft to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability.</li><li>Operates models of test aircraft and flight test support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers.</li><li>Coordinates flight operations efforts.</li><li>Oversee maintenance operations, test fly and trouble shoot, manage maintenance flow.</li><li>Perform other related duties as requested.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>High School Graduate or equivalent is required.</li><li>A minimum of 1,000 hours of total PIC time is Preferred; with a minimum 300 hours of PIC on the CH-47F being Required.</li><li>Satisfactorily completed a proficiency check within the previous 12 months. Must be qualified in the (CH-47F).</li><li>U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is preferred.</li><li>Successfully completed Army Maintenance Test Pilots Course (MTPC) or complete an equivalency evaluation IAW AR 95-1 and 95-20. US ARMY AMOC (phase 1&amp;2) Complete and qualified.</li><li>Successfully complete initially and annually thereafter a (US Army Upslip) or FAA Class II flight physical is required.</li><li>Must have or be able to pass a FAA or Military Class 2 flight physical.</li><li>FAA Certificate, Rotorcraft, Commercial pilot Required. Must have instrument rating on their FAA Commercial Certificates.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, US Army Maintenance procedures and regulations.</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, Secret Clearance. US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.</li><li>Interim SECRET approval required for deployment.</li><li>Valid US Passport Required for deployment to Germany.</li></ul> Germany Specific Requirements: <ul><li>TESA Approval: (German Govt) Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; with 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience.</li><li>Travel: As required in support of task order.</li></ul> Knowledge &amp; Skills: <ul><li>Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.</li><li>Demonstrated proven and verifiable aviation experience including ethics, ability and professionalism of the highest standards are required for this position.</li><li>Must have demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written. Must be fluent in the English language.</li><li>Working knowledge for operating navigational and communication equipment installed on the aircraft.</li><li>Capable of computing and annotating weight and balance logs for the aircraft.</li></ul> Physical Requirements/Working Environment <ul><li>May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft.</li><li>May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts and vehicles.</li><li>May be exposed to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.</li><li>Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.</li><li>Must be able to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.</li><li>Must be physically capable of climbing vertical ladders or built-in aircraft steps to heights of 10-12 feet.</li><li>May be exposed to chemical mist, gas, vapors, ultra-violet and infrared radiation.</li><li>May be required to lift to 50 pounds to a height of four (4) feet and be required to lift to 20 pounds to a height of seven (7) feet.</li><li>May be exposed to certain obstructions on the surface as well as ladders, stairs, etc.</li><li>May be exposed to rapid or extreme temperature changes.</li></ul> Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
