Air Canada Foundation Program Manager 
Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement, the Air Canada Foundation Program Manager is responsible for managing several of the complex signature partnerships of the Air Canada Foundation.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for tactfully managing internal and external relationships with key partners, evolving long-standing and multi-faceted partnerships and strategically planning and executing integration opportunities as they arise. The Air Canada Foundation Program Manager’s portfolio will comprise two key areas: 

Pediatric hospital partnerships

  • Building relationships with hospital foundations and ensuring effective coordination and collaboration between the Air Canada Foundation and pediatric hospitals across Canada. 
  • Regular touchpoints with hospital partners to assess needs and understand their community investment approach to best manage ticket requests and grant applications. 
  • Using currently established best practices and operational procedures and in conjunction with colleagues, review, evaluate and process grant applications from partner hospitals. 
  • Responsible for end-to-end management of evaluating, issuing, and reporting ticket requests from hospital partners. 
  • Responsible for program delivery and all components related to fundraising for the Hospital Transportation Program, including sourcing impact stories from partner hospital foundations and collaborating with cross-departmental colleagues for the annual “Points Matching Week” with Aeroplan.

Dreams Take Flight partnership

Dreams Take Flight, Air Canada and the Air Canada Foundation have a deep and long-lasting partnership spanning over 20 years. The Air Canada Foundation Program Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ongoing relationship management, support and engagement of Dreams Take Flight Canada and its associated chapters.
  • Responsible for end-to-end project management in collaboration with relevant internal departments to support the successful delivery of eight Dreams Take Flight trips. 
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive processes and procedures to support Dreams Take Flight.
  • Responsible for end-to-end management of evaluating, issuing, and reporting ticket requests from Dreams Take Flight. 

In this fast-paced and dynamic work environment, the Air Canada Foundation Programs Manager may be asked to support Community Engagement Team colleagues with other duties as required, including but not limited to:

  • Supporting with the annual Air Canada Foundation fundraising golf tournament;
  • Representing the Air Canada Foundation at various internal and external events, and;
  • Supporting various Air Canada Foundation and Community Engagement Team events and activations.

Qualifications

  • 3 – 5 years experience working with non-profit partners, in a volunteer organizing role, and/or in grant-making relationships;
  • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills;
  • Outstanding organization, project management and planning skills with strong attention to detail;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with strict deadlines;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office;
  • Experience working in complex and highly matrixed organizations is considered an asset;
  • Discretion and tact;
  • Availability to work flexible hours, on occasion;
  • Travel required: 25%; 
  • Ability to work without immediate and constant supervision;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to determine priorities to meet deadlines.
