About the role

You will be responsible for undertaking maintenance activities, under the Texel Air Part 145 exposition. Under the supervision of Aircraft Maintenance Licensed Engineers.

Key accountabilities of this role include:

  1. Ensure compliance with all NZCAA Rule Part 145 requirements and the company's Exposition, policies and procedures.
  2. Carry out aircraft maintenance tasks on the aircraft and its components as directed by the Supervisor or LAME
  3. To ensure that all physical activity on the aircraft is performed to the appropriate standards, in a manner that has the least impact on the operational schedule and, for scheduled activity, within the specified timeframes.
  4. Actively participate to maintain reliability above 98.5.
  5. Reporting safety issues and concerns through the Texel Air safety reporting system.
  6. This position will be subject to random alcohol and drug testing.


To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:

  1. Completed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Certificate level 3 or level 4 qualifications.
  2. Meet the requirements for the issue of a Texel Air Maintenance Authorisation on the B737-800.
  3. Base and Line maintenance experience.
  4. Attentive to detail and pragmatic in approach.
  5. A competent communicator.
  6. The ability to obtain an airport security clearance (AVSEC/AVSIC and AIAL or relevant airport authority).
