An exciting opportunity awaits as ALG Talent invites applications for the role of Spray Painter to work with our aviation client based at the Rockhampton Airport.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare paint to the desired colour and consistency.
  • Ready spraying equipment by cleaning and adjusting spray guns.
  • Conduct rust repairs and prepare surfaces for paint.
  • Remove equipment components, prepare/paint, and reinstall.
  • Clean equipment/machinery slated for painting.
  • Mask areas before applying paint with a spray gun or brush.
  • Apply decals to machinery and aircraft-related tooling & group support equipment.
  • Paint aircraft-related tooling and other specific built jet base ground support equipment & machinery.
  • Maintain stock levels of all items necessary for duty completion.
  • Manage occupational health and safety (OH&S) and environmental hazards in the paint bay and workplace.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Qualification in spray painting.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience with power and hand tools.
  • Previous work experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive security clearance process.
  • Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
  • Demonstrated adherence to all work rules and regulations.
