THE POSITION

The Airport Maintenance Technician (AMT) works as part of a team that ensures the safe operation and maintenance of our runway, taxiways, aprons, roads, parking lot and the airport campus. The AMT role is a vital position at the front line in maintaining a safe and efficient airport. Reporting to the Manager, Airport Maintenance, you will be responsible to:
  • Operate and maintain a variety of large and small airfield and grounds maintenance equipment.
  • Conduct and report on the condition of airport infrastructure, pavement surfaces and related airport components.
  • Use of hand and power tools to perform airfield, runway, and grounds maintenance duties.
  • Report and control wildlife hazards on the airport according to regulation and airport policy.
  • Complete electronic work orders, forms, and other reports and records.
  • Perform other assigned or related duties.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2+ years of similar experience performing minor repairs, operating equipment and exterior maintenance.
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 or higher Drivers License (Must be willing to obtain Class 3 w/Air Brake Endorsement after employment).
  • Must be computer literate and be willing and able to learn new software.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment testing including, but not limited to, a medical assessment, and drug & alcohol testing.

ASSETS:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Class 3 or higher Drivers License with an Air Brake Endorsement
  • Existing knowledge of the airport/aviation industry
