What you'll be doing:
- Operations will provide support to Aircrew, using Air Operations Systems to facilitate the successful planning and execution of flights, both in the UK and on worldwide operations. Provide aircraft services to all BAE/MOD customers and liaise with a range of contractors and external airlines to meet operational needs of line management and the business
- To co-ordinate the scheduling of Aircraft and crew
- Coordination of handling for all aircraft visiting Warton
- Production of aircrew rosters ensuring that the Flight Time Limitations scheme is adhered to at all times, as regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)
- To process and submit all returned flight paperwork
- Responsible for delay reporting and production of statistics
- Application and processing of all diplomatic, over flight and landing clearances
- To flight plan all Corporate Air Travels fleet accordingly and liaise with Brussels when slot times need to be addressed
- Coordination of all ad hoc exec and freight charter aircraft requirements
- To prepare all flight paperwork and weather information in order to despatch each aircraft on time
- Preparation of aircraft load sheets whilst considering the weight and balance issues of the aircraft
- Attend customer meetings with BAE/MOD customers
- Lead or be responsible for Flight Operations Controllers ensuring work is carried out on time and to professional standards
Your skills and experiences:
- Understanding of flight time limitations
- Flight planning, Crew rostering
- Aviation metrology, NOTAMS
- Aircraft scheduling
- Reprogramming of the operation - reactive changes (if aircraft delayed by weather - how react and deal with those issues)
- Experience in an aviation / flight operations background
- An awareness of CAA/EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) flight time limitations scheme
- Able to interpret aviation weather reports/charts (METARS & TAF)
- Knowledge of Aircraft limitations
- Understand different systems used (LEON/RocketRoute/Jeppeson ForeFlight)
