The Opportunity
Launch your career in airport planning and contribute to projects that shape the future of air travel. This traineeship offers hands-on experience, collaborating with our expert Aviation team in Madrid. You'll play a key role in supporting airport consulting and infrastructure planning and design projects, gaining valuable industry exposure and developing essential skills.

We are looking for someone that is passionate about airports and innovative consulting solutions. Ideally, you'll bring:
Bonus points if you have:
o GIS, EFM, Rhino graphic representation software.
o AviPLAN from Transoft or similar.
o Data analysis software such as Power BI or similar.
o Capacity simulation software for airport subsystems such as CAST from ARC or ARCPORT from Transoft.

As an Airport Planner Trainee at Arup, you will:
- Collaborate in current planning projects: Master plans, masterplans and functional designs, capacity/demand studies, infrastructure investment analysis, operability studies, etc.
- Contribute to airport planning projects: geometric configuration of the airfield, passenger terminal, accesses, and support facilities.
- Perform static and dynamic simulations within airport subsystems, using industry-standard software.
- Participate in the development of proposals for both public and private clients, gaining valuable business development experience.
Does this role inspire you?
We are looking for someone that is passionate about airports and innovative consulting solutions. Ideally, you'll bring:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Master in Aeronautical Engineering, or a similar field.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- User/intermediate level proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English skills.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience in other representation tools such as:
o GIS, EFM, Rhino graphic representation software.
o AviPLAN from Transoft or similar.
- Knowledge of:
o Data analysis software such as Power BI or similar.
o Capacity simulation software for airport subsystems such as CAST from ARC or ARCPORT from Transoft.
- Previous Experience in the sector
- Organization skills, communication skills (both verbal and written) and business vision.
Conditions
- Be enrolled in the university to be able to establish an agreement with the University
- Immediate incorporation
- Duration: 6 months of extendable internship (possibility of joining after completing the internship)
- Schedule: From 20 to 40 hours per week to be defined with the student
- Remuneration: will depend on the student's level of training and the number of hours established.
