Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivvik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a Twin Otter 300 Series to a Boeing 737 200C, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments.

ROLE OVERVIEW
Are you a night owl with a passion for avionics? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where every night brings new challenges? If so, Air Inuit has the perfect opportunity for you! As an Avionic Engineer ACA on our night shift, you will contribute to a vital part of daily our operations at the forefront of maintaining and troubleshooting our fleet's avionics systems. Under the supervision of the Base or Senior Base Engineer and/or the Senior Avionics Engineer, you will carry-out avionic repairs and line maintenance on Air Inuit's fleet.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform work on aircraft as outlined by applicable Inspection Instructions, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins or other approved schemes in accordance with accepted practices and ensure that such work is carried out in accordance with the applicable portions of the MPM.
- Complete routine and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionics systems.
- Ensure that all items of work are recorded and signed out as required on the applicable Maintenance Control forms.
- Diagnose and repair complex electronic and electrical issues.
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with aviation safety standards.
- Maintain in good order the AMO facilities, such as shop, store, library and its surroundings.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests during night operations.
- Carry out and certify avionics installation and repairs to aircraft.
- Depending on the operational needs, occasional northern travel.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers and apprentices.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks in line with the Department's operational needs.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 3 years of experience in avionic maintenance.
- Valid E License. Preference will be given to those with experience DHC8, B737 aircraft.
- Have successfully completed the qualifying exam for AMO certification privileges.
- Be familiar with the appropriate parts of the MPM, MCM, aircraft operations specifications and maintenance manuals necessary for the performance of his/her duties.
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft electronic systems and components.
- Strong ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Obtain and maintain Airport Security Clearance (RAIC) including an airside driver's permit.
- Must be available to travel to Northern Bases when required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to work night shifts and adapt to varying weather conditions.
COMPENSATION
- Salary and benefits are determined in accordance with the corporate policy.
- Hourly entry salary - $36.98
WORK CONDITIONS
- Work location - Air Inuit Technical Center - Montreal Trudeau airport.
- Modified Work schedule: 5-5-4
- Shift schedule: 17h00 - 04h15
- Company provided uniforms.
- If traveling to a North Base: Accommodations, meals, work uniforms and travel between Montreal and work location are provided.
