Job Description

AirAsia X is seeking a dynamic Technical Services Engineer (Reliability, Warranty and AMP) to be part of the best airline team in the sky!

Main responsibilities
  • Responsible for the daily operation of the Reliability Programme
  • Diagnose PIREP's (Pilot Reports), MAREP's (Maintenance Reports), Delays & Cancellation, as well as components removal to find any correlation or trend.
  • Provide recommendations to other departments on improvement plans in-line with the Reliability Programme objectives.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of the Reliability Programme in order to maintain fleet performance and airworthiness.
  • Generate monthly reports to outline fleet performance for the particular month.
  • Organize Maintenance Review Board Meeting that will be held at a minimum of six-monthly intervals.
  • Manage warranty process from other departments, negotiates, and resolves technical warranty issues pertaining unscheduled removals and industrial support.
  • Participate in warranty negotiations with manufacturers / vendors / suppliers and follow up on rejected warranty claims.
  • Ensure all documents related to the claim process are provided by the respective departments.
  • Development, implementation and management of the AMP to maintain an efficient and reliable aircraft fleet.
  • Develop the AMP that could provide desired airworthiness standards during scheduled maintenance at selected intervals.
  • Implement the AMP that is applicable to the Malaysia Registered AirAsia X A330 aircraft installed with TRENT 772B-60/16 engine and GTCP 331-350C APU.
  • Ensure that the AMP contains the AIRBUS recommended Maintenance Program and repetitive schedule maintenance tasks promulgated by ALS Parts, AD, CAAM Requirement, SFAR 88 Requirement, EM Chapter 5 and CMM (vendor recommendation).
  • Ensure that the developed AMP includes at the minimum Systems, APU, Power Plant, Zonal Inspection, Structure and CPCP programmes.
  • Provide additional information, obligation and paperwork needed to support the developed AMP.
  • Keep the AMP updated by additions or amendments from sources such as MPD, MRBR, ALS, AD, SB, SIL, CAAM Requirement, EM, CMM, and list of applicable aircraft in operation.
  • Initialize the Task Card in the Maintenance Programme Admin and ALS related part in Part Admin.
  • Administer the AMP by ensuring availability of revised amendments, Master Control Task Cards, Master Control Lists and Scripting.
  • Dispatch amended AMP to all holders required, distribute and maintain a register of acknowledgement of receipt.
  • Ensure traceability records upon amendments.
  • Analyse the effectiveness of the AMP and prepare the Maintenance Programme Analysis Report (MPAR).
  • Conduct the Maintenance Programme Meeting on an annual basis.
  • Ensure sufficient skills are acquired and inform superior of required training to improve competency.
  • Responsible for undertaking the necessary corrective and preventive action resulting from compliance monitoring and audit program findings.
  • Any other relevant duty as assigned by the superior.

Qualification and Minimum Experience and Knowledge Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor Degree in any relevant Engineering disciplines from recognized institutions, or
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience on Airbus aircraft preferred. Candidates with previous commitment in project management, or research and projects development, or participation in organizing community works will have an added advantage.
