Salary Range: 95,000.00 To 95,000.00 (USD) Annually

Phoenix Air Group is looking for a direct entry Captain to fly the Saab 340 out of Coastal Southern California. Unique piloting experience flying to the Channel Island chain off the coast of California. Excellent schedule, home every night, weekends off, most Federal holidays off, short hops, etc. It's the perfect opportunity for pilots that want and/or need to be home at night, and on weekends and holidays.

Minimum 3000 total hours, 250 hours flying aircraft type. ATP and current Saab 340 type rating are a plus. Must be able to obtain an FAA 1st Class Medical and be able to pass a security background check. Must live within 1 hour of Point Mugu Naval Base and possess a valid U.S. Passport.

About the Role:

As a Captain NTD, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials. You will be leading a team of skilled professionals and ensuring that all operations are carried out in compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Your main objective will be to ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • Proven experience as a transportation supervisor or manager
  • Excellent knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field
  • Experience with logistics software and systems
  • Experience in a fast-paced transportation environment
  • Experience managing a team of drivers and transportation professionals

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the loading and unloading of goods and materials
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Manage and lead a team of transportation professionals
  • Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders

Skills:

As a Captain NTD, you will be using your leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills on a daily basis. You will need to be able to effectively manage a team of transportation professionals, communicate with clients and stakeholders, and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will need to have a strong understanding of transportation regulations and best practices, and be able to use logistics software and systems to manage transportation activities.
