ALG is currently seeking a CNC Machinists to join our defence client's team in Brisbane. This is a permanent position offering full-time hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC machines to produce, modify, and manufacture components based on drawings and work orders.
  • Record and sign off completed tasks on job orders.
  • Ensure all finished work meets quality inspection criteria outlined in drawings.
  • Use electronic workstations to track task progress and costs.
  • Utilize hand tools and equipment necessary for job tasks.
  • Perform routine machinery maintenance as needed.
  • Complete on-the-job training according to specified standards.
  • Execute JPTMS (jigs, programs, tools, materials, setup sheets).
  • Independently set up, operate, and inspect components using 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.
  • Provide training to junior CNC Machinists.
  • Maintain shift continuity by documenting actions and issues.
  • Uphold high standards of product quality.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations for safe operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on skills and qualifications.

    Key Requirements:
  • Hold a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (or equivalent).
  • Possess knowledge of manufacturing techniques, processes, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to producing quality work and meeting product standards.
  • Have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail.
