  • Purpose:

This role is responsible for building and protecting a company's reputation, managing its communication strategy, and handling crisis situations effectively. The Corporate Communications and Crisis Relations Manager is responsible for internal and external communications, media relations, brand management, and crisis communication planning and response.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement communication strategies| Communication Policy

  • Create and execute comprehensive communication plans that align with the Organization's goals and objectives, covering internal and external audiences.
  • Shape and manage the Organization's corporate communication strategy, ensuring that information is consistent, clear and effective.

Manage media relations| Media Focus and Strategy

  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets, respond to media inquiries, and manage press releases and media coverage. Planning media events, press briefings, and communications plans.
  • Writing press releases, media advisories, and other promotional materials.
  • Managing social media accounts and monitoring public opinion.

Crisis communication planning and response| Communications Contingency

  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans, manage crisis situations, and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and collaborate with relevant departments like legal, public relations, human resources, and operations to ensure a unified and consistent response to crises.
  • Train staff on crisis communication protocols to educate employees on crisis communication procedures, roles, and responsibilities to ensure preparedness and effective responses.
  • Conduct post-crisis evaluations and report findings to analyze the effectiveness of crisis response efforts, identify areas for improvement, and document lessons learned.

Brand management| Maintaining Brand Value

  • Protect and enhance the company's brand image and reputation.
  • Creating a brand identity to establish the organization's brand personality and values.
  • Measuring brand performance and setting goals and tracking key performance indicators

Stakeholder engagement| Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, investors, customers, and the community.

Content creation| Creative developmental Initiatives

  • Develop and manage content for various communication channels, including websites, social media, newsletters, and internal communications.

Internal communications| Information Transparency

  • Ensure effective communication within the organization to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Planning events to help to organize and execute internal events to promote company culture.

Drives Corporate Communication Initiatives | Strategy, Planning, & Execution

  • Keep abreast of all Local and International requirements and mandates that the organization will be responsible to implement.
  • To mitigate potential risks and conflicts, and to ensure that key stakeholders are aligned with the Organization's strategic direction
  • Ensure that in performance of the role, all uses, disclosures and requests of any information (in any form) are done in accordance with data protection principles adopted by the organization and are limited to what is reasonably required to accomplish the intended business purposes of the use, disclosure or request.

Management & Leadership

  • Regularly evaluate the department or teams’ communications plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
  • Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.
