The Inflight Services Crew Manager provides local base and concourse leadership to Endeavor Air Flight Attendants while supporting the daily efficient operation of the crew base. The Inflight Services Crew Manager will influence and maintain a positive employee culture at the base consistent with the culture at Endeavor Air.
All About The Role
- Put safety first, always, through promoting and reinforcing a proactive safety culture.
- Identify, intervene, and report safety concerns to support employees and Endeavor’s safety culture: OJI’s, reasonable suspicion, Endeavor Air Pilot Assistance Committee (EAPAC), etc.
- Ensure Flight Attendants’ and Pilots’ qualifications with regard to regulatory requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of: Company Policy, Flight Attendant Manual (FAM), Company Ground Ops Manual (GOM), Endeavor Air Flight Ops Manual (FOM), Flight Ops Procedures Manual (FOPM), Company Flight Manual (CFM), FAA Regulations, and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- Strategize and track team operational performance metrics with regard to dependability, work performance, attendance, delays, and customer service scores.
- Ensure crew members report operational situations and events accurately and timely, including delays, flight incident reports, etc.
- Evaluate crew member on-board performance for regulatory compliance and customer service satisfaction during inflight operations.
- Support crew members and provide resources to assist with day-to-day requests, such as uniforms, payroll, EDV Intranet, SkyPros/EFBs, jury duty, leaves, etc.
- Perform Manager on Duty responsibilities on a rotating basis; requires availability by phone 24/7 while on duty to handle crew emergencies and assist with operational events.
- Facilitate drug/alcohol testing in collaboration with administrative staff and Base Managers.
- Engage in employee recognition and Endeavor rewards programs.
- Assist Base Manager with coordinating employee events.
- Build relationships and interact with crew members by being present on the concourse and in the crew room.
- In partnership with Base Manager, supervise and assess crew members by providing feedback, support, coaching, and/or course correction. Appropriately document incidents and coaching’s.
- Conduct investigations and interviews, collaborate with Base Manager on findings, and provide input during discussions concerning outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support for probationary Flight Attendants and Pilots and follow established probationary program requirements.
- Foster consistent communication and follow up with crew members.
- Relay company and departmental information to the crew members.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and interaction with union representatives.
All About You
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and related experience.
- 2 years of experience providing work direction in a leadership/supervisory role, including motivating, mentoring, and building positive relationships with employees.
- 3 years of experience in airline operations, in-flight, flight operations or similar field preferred.
- Ability to achieve Flight Attendant qualification and certification upon request
- Reliable and self-motivated.
- Analytical, interpretive, and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines efficiently and effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive interpersonal skills, and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under company insurance coverage, position requires use of company vehicle(s).
- PC proficient in Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and Employee Contract Administration preferred.
