Role Introduction

Reports to : Head of Integrated Operations Centre

Departments: IOC - Integrated Operations Centre

The role of Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) is to ensure disruptions to the published schedule are kept to a minimum where possible. This process requires IOC to make timely decisions to ensure on-time performance of the operation, while balancing costs and objectives of each functional department within the company that plays a part in delivering superior customer service.
 
Your key role in IOC is the decision maker who leads and directs the day-to-day function of the Centre during your designated shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring safety and security in the operation for Cathay Pacific and Air Hong Kong
  • Managing day-of-operations issues that affect schedule integrity, ensuring rapid recovery
  • Identifying and resolving all potential issues within the 7-day IOC control period in a proactive manner
  • Making well-informed decisions, balancing operational, engineering and commercial needs
  • Providing the initial E&A response until the Crisis Response Centre is established and acting as the IOC representative in the CRC when Head of IOC is unavailable
  • Liaising closely with FOP Line Operations to ensure that operational policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with company requirements
  • Leading the IOC Operations Control team, and working closely with Crew Operations, Flight Dispatch, Engineering, Customer Journey & Recovery, HKIA Hub Control, Cargo and outport personnel to maintain schedule integrity
  • Representing IOC in various meetings and presentations
  • Assisting Head of IOC, Head of IOC Transformation and GMIOC with company projects

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years experience in IOC, with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the needs and requirements in various areas such as flight planning, crewing, engineering and customer services 
  • Proven decision making, analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to lead and be a strong team player
