The role
As a Licenced Aircraft Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will help to drive the delivery of the flying activities at alongside your Babcock and Military colleagues by taking a 'Whole Force' approach to our activities and ensuring that Babcock's excellent safety and delivery reputation is always maintained.

Day-to-day, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Coordinating all CAA part 145 paperwork
  • H&S of all equipment and reporting of any faults and diagnostic problems.
  • Providing a CRS signature when appropriate to release an aircraft to service after either defect rectification or scheduled maintenance.

This role is full time and is based on site at Glasgow Airport.

Essential experience of the Licenced Aircraft Engineer:
  • Aircraft inspections, repair and maintenance
  • Sound understanding of partnering and alliance between customer and contract.
  • Line support tasks
  • Type Rating on Grob 115E aircraft and Lycoming 360 engines
  • Have previously worked in a pt.145 environment
  • Experience in the aircraft maintenance industry

Qualifications for the Licenced Aircraft Engineer:
  • Recognised SHEQ Qualification
  • Working knowledge of safety management systems (SMS)
  • EASA/CAA Part 66, B1.2 license
  • Clean driving licence

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC Clearance security clearance for this role.
