About the business:

Having operated successfully in the Middle East for over 10 years, Texel Air has expanded its operations into New Zealand and Australia. Our NZ operation is well established and boasts an impressive On-Time Performance rate. Our Australian operations have just begun with the first aircraft now operating out of our Brisbane base.

By mid-2024 another three B737 NG Boeing Converted Freighters will enter our fleet - and more growth will come after that!

About the role

Along with excellent, well-maintained aircraft, we also need excellent people, to keep them flying safely. We need engineers who thrive in a dynamic environment, who approach challenges with innovative solutions, who understand the importance to our clients of schedule integrity and who can deliver service that consistently exceeds expectations.

You will be responsible for undertaking maintenance activities in accordance with the Texel Air Part 145 Exposition including the issuing of the Release To Service. Vacancies exist in Auckland, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Darwin, whichever location you prefer.

You will be required to work shift work, be contactable outside normal office hours and weekends if required and be willing to travel within Australia, New Zealand and internationally from time to time.

About you:

To be considered for this role, you'll need:
  1. An NZCAA or CASA Maintenance Engineers License, Type Rated on the B737 NG.
  2. At least 3 years of Line Maintenance experience.
  3. To be attentive to detail and pragmatic in approach.
  4. To be a problem solver.
  5. Reside in either, Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide or Darwin

This role will take full advantage of your great communication skills and ability to build great relationships at all levels. While needing a high level of drive and initiative you will also have that balance of technical skills combined with a pragmatic hands-on approach. In return, you'll join a supportive family-focused organisation with a competitive salary package.

We plan to fill the Auckland position immediately, with the Australian positions being progressively filled during the first half of 2024.

If you are a seasoned aircraft engineer with a passion for cargo operations, or maybe just looking for a change, we'd love to hear from you.
