Job Description
Network Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group, providing high-capacity air charter and regular passenger transport services. We operate a growing fleet of A319, A320 and F100 aircraft. From our base at Perth Airport, we specialise in resource sector support, regional and interstate passenger transport, routine and emergency freight and corporate charter flying.
The Maintenance Watch Engineer, reporting to the Manager of Maintenance Operations, will oversee and monitor engineering issues on a daily basis, ensuring timely notifications related to the fleet's operational status. You will optimize aircraft availability by advising company operations and flight crews on continuing airworthiness requirements throughout all flight phases, ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations. Additionally, you will monitor the technical status of aircraft and systems on operational days, leveraging your expertise to investigate and guide the resolution of any aircraft defects.
As the primary point of contact for all reportable defects, your role will involve monitoring and reviewing defects that impact the customer experience, using the product failure punctuality guide as a reference, and conveying the necessary requirements to the Regional Operations Centre (ROC).

To be successful in this position you'll have:
- Experience as a senior LAME with a minimum of five years in a Line or Base Maintenance environment or a higher level of aircraft engineering and maintenance experience.
- Hold a CASA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence, rated on the Airbus A320 and/or the Fokker F100 aircraft (or similar aircraft in the B1/B2 category).
- Strategic and analytical thinker with proven problem-solving and time management skills, particularly when under pressure.
- High level of computer skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with maintenance information systems such as the Trax and IAS software packages.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and process compliance
- Experience with the management of AOG recovery of aircraft.
- Ability to work as part of a team to produce safe, compliant and desirable outcomes on behalf of the business.
