Working with limited supervision, this individual will be responsible for the development and introduction of new products into the manufacturing processes at MPP as well as continuous improvement of existing processes. Will work directly with customers and vendors, providing both technical and project leadership to internal and external resources. Responsible for managing all aspects of assigned manufacturing processes and product, New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, and other projects.

New Hire Bonus:
- Receive a bonus equal to 3% of your first year's earnings after your one-year anniversary with MPP.
Job Summary:
Working with limited supervision, this individual will be responsible for the development and introduction of new products into the manufacturing processes at MPP as well as continuous improvement of existing processes. Will work directly with customers and vendors, providing both technical and project leadership to internal and external resources. Responsible for managing all aspects of assigned manufacturing processes and product, New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, and other projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reads, interprets, prepares, and/or revises blueprints; schematics; drawings; CAD models; manufacturing, inspection, and other technical specifications and applies them within manufacturing and quality processes.
- Assesses customer requirements, prepares cost estimating and submits quotations for new product. Researches tooling design, equipment capabilities, and manufacturing processes to determine a best fit solution for new product development.
- Responsible for process set-up for new product as well as cost and losses reductions on assigned existing product and processes.
- Analyzes problems with processes and product, makes decisions on proper actions to be taken for correction. Executes solutions effectively.
- May prepare and present First Article Inspection reports and any other necessary product or process review and reporting.
- Interacts with customers and suppliers on technical and program matters.
- Makes recommendations for design for manufacturability, cost, or process improvements or expanded capabilities including substantiating strategy on new or existing products.
- Provides process and equipment design, control, analysis, and continued improvement for responsible processes and product in accordance with Quality Management System procedures and customer specifications.
- Manages personal timetables and project status for various and concurrent projects to assure milestones and completion dates are achieved.
- Assists in planning and coordination within the associated manufacturing area.
- Supports process reviews, revisions, and training on necessary changes within areas of responsibility.

Work Environment:
- Shared office environment for administrative work.
- Frequent access to manufacturing environment is required to perform duties adequately.
- May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels).
- Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or equivalent technical training and relevant experience
- CAD and CAM experience
- CNC and manual machining competence
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, etc.)
- Ability to read/write/speak English
- Strong organizational habits and attention to detail are a necessity to succeed in this role
