Purpose of the role:

In this position you will be in the front line of aircraft technical issues, by receiving call directly from the crew in a 24 hours / 7 days shift model, ensuring a prompt and qualified support to them to be able to dispatch the aircraft according to WIZZ deferral processes (MEL/CDL/DD) or initiate a troubleshooting with on-site representatives and aircraft technicians, aviation experts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate real-time expert advice and guidance to Wizz Air pilots on the interpretation of the MEL dispatch and technical troubleshooting. The role is the primary interface between the maintenance department and the flight crew.
  • Manage the AOG recovery process including AOG spares request initiation and follow up.
  • Ensure compliance with all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements.
  • Monitor MEL/CDL/critical deferred defects across the fleet and ensure plans are in place to rectify each within the allowed time limit in coordination with maintenance providers.
  • Track and analyse repetitive defects across the fleet, liaise with flight crew to understand and advise on technical raisings as and when they happen.
  • Liaise with maintenance providers at each base to understand and advise on technical raisings as and when they happen. Ensure maintenance resource is located for all non-scheduled raisings in the most expeditious manner possible.
  • Obtain approved data from TC holder, STC holder or part 21 DO for approval condition whenever a/c damages are not covered with approved documentation data and/or when intensive troubleshooting is required.
  • Work with OCC (Operations Control Centre) to update the maintenance plan because of changes to the day-to-day operation, minimise schedule disruption.

Requirements:

  • Aircraft Technical Education such as EASA Part 66 Cat B1.1 LAME (A320 CEO and NEO) is a must.
  • Finalized University or College degree in Engineering or Business Administration is an advantage.
  • A320FAM CEO/NEO type training (Level III) is desired. A330 is an advantage.
  • Fuel Tank Safety training, EWIS training, Human Factors training.
  • Thorough knowledge of Part-145 and Part-M regulation including Subpart I.
  • Thorough knowledge of the CAME, MOE.
  • Fluent English language knowledge.
  • Five years relevant work experience within a Part-145 or Part-M approved organization.
  • Good knowledge of AMOS and MS Office.
