Reporting to the Manager Block and RAP Administration the Crew Resource Planning Analyst manager will be responsible for planning reserve availability periods (RAPs) as it relates to Crew Scheduling. The Crew Resource Planning Analyst position is not limited to just RAP planning but also provides important additional operational and systems support for Flight Operations Crew Scheduling.  This position will play a vital role in the success and the administration of pilot coverage requirements while adhering to contractual and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain monthly pilot reserve availability period (RAPs) planning for all fleets and bases.
  • Optimization of pilot reserve availability period planning and assignment.
  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly pre-planning.
  • Evaluate operational requirements and adjust pilot reserve availability periods as required.
  • Interact and liaise with various departments (Training, Block Administration, Crew Scheduling, Rouge etc.).
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with Crew Scheduling as it relates to reserve availability periods.
  • Provide effective and timely communication to pilots as it relates to scheduling or rescheduling of reserve availability periods.
  • Promote reserve utilization within the Crew Scheduling group.
  • Provide Crew Scheduling Management with risk assessment analysis for pilot reserve coverage.
  • Compile management information as required.
  • Identify, investigate, report and follow any discovered systems errors.
  • Test new functionality as it relates to crew scheduling applications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience dealing with a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Ability to produce and provide reports as required in relation to planning activities.
  • Understanding of crew scheduling practices within a global airline.
  • Works well with team members and promotes collaboration within a team setting.
  • Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent and effective.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Netline Crew, ReportLink, IADP, and globe information system.
  • Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.
  • Flexible and willing to work extended hours as required.
  • Self-starter, task oriented.
