Safety Coordinator, Vilnius (Lithuania)/ Lleida (Spain)
Are you passionate about general aviation and dedicated to upholding the highest flight safety standards? BAA Training is seeking for a Safety Coordinator to oversee daily operations at our Flight Training Base in Lleida (Spain) and administer Safety Management System (SMS).
We are currently operating a fleet of more than 10 training aircraft with substantially more planned to be added in a foreseeable future.
We invite you to become a vital part of our Safety team and make a real impact implementing new systems and processes to manage flight safety risks in our flight school.
The role is based in Vilnius (Lithuania), however, you will be spending good portion of you time (at least 2 weeks monthly) in Lleida Flight school performing hands-on SMS administration tasks.
We dream about a team member who:
- Hold (or have held previously) a pilot’s license at least on Private Pilot License (PPL) level; FI rating is a plus.
- Possess experience in similar role and/or knowledge of SMS and risk management principles in aviation. However, we will consider candidates without previous experience in the field – needed training and mentoring will be provided.
- Is comfortable working with Information Systems and possess very good computer skills and acumen, previous experience in IT and/or IT project management would be seen as a big advantage.
- Has good with analytical tasks and can draw meaningful information and reports out of source data (e.g. occurrence and hazard reports, flight data monitoring)
- Is fluent in English and efficient communicator (verbally and written). Spanish language skills would be considered a great advantage.
- Has a positive attitude followed with willingness and ability to learn fast and work hard.
