Job Mission: As a Senior Aircraft System Installation Engineer, you will play an essential role in installing and integrating aircraft systems within our highly efficient regional aircraft. You will focus on Mechanical and Electrical Systems Installation, Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS), and Digital Mock-Up (DMU) to ensure optimal design, quality, safety, and compliance with the applicable standards. This role combines technical leadership with innovation, focusing on systems installation within a more electrical aircraft architecture, and supported by advanced digital models and workflows intended to reduce project lead times and optimize installation complexity and costs. Working cross-functionally and across the entire aircraft perimeters, you’ll tightly collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to achieve seamless systems integration, contributing to our goal of delivering a groundbreaking, environmentally efficient aircraft. This is an opportunity to lead and contribute to a pioneering project fostering a culture of collaboration, digitalization, and continuous improvement, shaping the future of sustainable aerospace.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the installation and integration of systems across the entire aircraft including, but not limited to, electrical, cabin, avionics, powerplant and environmental control systems.
  • Develop and implement Electrical and Mechanical System Installation Design Principles.
  • Establish and maintain a Digital Mock-Up (DMU) and related digital workflows for effective planning, physical integration, and validation of system installations within the aircraft's digital twin model.
  • Establish Systems Installation concepts, lead trade studies and prepare design assessment reviews.
  • Perform the development and implementation of EWIS, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, manufacturing process and reliability requirements.
  • Define technical design directives for systems installation and criteria for standard parts selection.
  • Contribute to the extensive adoption and implementation of digitalization practices within system installation processes, including advanced digital mock-ups, digital workflows and digitally assisted validation and verification.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and engineering departments to ensure seamless system integration and industrialization.
  • Innovate in the use of sustainable and lightweight materials, technologies and installation concepts, contributing to the aircraft's overall efficiency goals.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and milestones for system installation activities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance for the design, testing, and certification of installed systems.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (BSc/MSc/Eng) in Aerospace, Aeronautics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of professional experience in aircraft-wide systems installation, with a strong focus on DMU, EWIS and Digital workflows.
  • Proven expertise in the aircraft structures, electrical and mechanical systems installation, aircraft systems integration and more electrical aircraft architectures within large aircraft categories (CS-25 or equivalent).
  • Experience with development of detail parts, assembly/sub-assembly, zoning, installation principles and aircraft wire routing.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and software for system design, simulation, and installation such as Siemens NX, Simcenter or equivalent.
  • Experience and knowledge of PLM systems such as Teamcenter or equivalent
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative approach to engineering challenges coming out of system installation activities.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage and execute multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • Assertive, proactive, innovative and creative.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with 30 paid vacation days.
