Job Purpose

To lead and supervise the assigned team in delivering high-quality and timely outputs related to the preparation, generation, and on-time publishing of monthly crew pairings, roster plans, and training schedules for flight deck members. This role also involves overseeing overall manpower forecasting, deployment, and associated budget forecasting, adjustments, and reporting, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and timeframes.

Key Result Responsibilities

  • Leads the crew planning team to ensure timely and high-standard delivery of crew pairings, roster plans, and training schedules. Oversee manpower forecasting, budget planning, and the publishing of crew rosters, ensuring all logistical support is arranged and confirmed.
  • Collaborates with line managers and other stakeholders to meet crew coverage needs while ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and safety standards. Address non-compliance issues with regulatory authorities.
  • Validates crew pairings, rosters, and training schedules to ensure equitable distribution and adherence to regulations and KPIs.
  • Enhances crew planning practices, processes, and systems to optimize resource utilization and minimize errors.
  • Coordinates and manages all aspects of crew training, including planning, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with training requirements and qualifications.
  • Maintains up-to-date records of crew licenses and certifications and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Generate and submit reports to support operations and audits.
  • Partners with other departments to prioritize and coordinate training plans, ensuring effective process flow and resource allocation.
  • Supports the implementation of crew planning policies and suggests improvements to manuals and procedures.
  • Applies quality assurance, safety, and security standards, and responds to audit requirements in a timely manner
  • Provides direction, coaching and guidance to team members for their career and professional development.
  • Creates a conducive working environment to build and sustain a performance driven, engaged, and committed team.
  • Ensures people management responsibilities are handled effectively in line with company procedures; Manages performance of respective teams

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

Bachelor's degree in information systems, Management/Math or equivalent from a recognized university is highly desirable

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of flight operations
  • Exposure to QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures and practices related to and affecting Flight Operations.
  • Understanding of GCAA/ CAA regulations.
  • Fluent in English Languages.
  • Basic Airport, security procedures and regulations training is an advantage.
