Role Description:
Responsible for conducting crew member training and evaluations, standardization administration, i.e. flight records, AWIS, publications and references.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct academic and hands-on performance training and administers evaluations to ensure crew member proficiency and standardization of training in addition to maintaining individual IATFs and completing AWIS entries.
- Ensure all DHC-8 RCMs and NRCMs are fully integrated into the ATP, train and evaluates RCMs and NRCMs in their designated aircraft.
- Ensure compliance with all Standardization Directives, Aircrew Training Manuals, and ATP requirements.
- Develop individual flight training plans in support of the organizations mission and ATP.
- Oversee maintenance of crew member flight records, weight and balance calculations, and risk assessments.
- Maintain knowledge of additions and changes to all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation integral to contract operations.
- Train and qualify crew members to fly all DHC-8 approved missions.
- Assigned duties as Pilot, Pilot-in-Command, Instructor Pilot, Air Mission Commander, or Flight Lead.
- Performs routine OCONUS travel and within CONUS travel as required.
- Position requires a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED.
- FAA Commercial and Instrument Airman's Certificate Airplane MEL.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Current FAA Class II Medical certificate.
- FAA CFI/CFII.
- Successful completion of FAA Type Rating Course in the selected type required before assignment
- 1,500 total fixed wing flight hours including 500 hours of turbine engine time, and 300 hours pilot in command.
- 300 hours turbine engine instructor or check pilot time.
- Unrestricted type rating.
Preferred:
- Prior Instructor Pilot in the US Military and/or support on the DoS INL/A program.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP).
OCONUS:
- Ability to pass physical screening.
- Passport with 18 months remaining.
- LATAM positions require Level 2 Spanish.
- Willing to relocate.
