Reporting to the Manager Defect Control, the primary function of the Defect Control Engineer (otherwise known as Maintenance Operations Control Engineer) is to manage the A320 and B787 aircraft fleet health. You will work with within the Jetstar Maintenance Operations Centre to ensure defect rectification activity is prioritised, planned and rectified effectively across the maintenance network and unplanned maintenance items are resolved in a timely manner. You will also work closely with the Duty Technical Managers, Predictive Maintenance engineers, Maintenance planning, Material Support and Fleet teams to identify and address recurring defects and to isolate rogue components which may be affecting fleet performance. Defect Control Engineer
