A UAV mechanical or electronic manufacturing technician plays a critical role in the production, maintenance, and quality assurance of UAV systems, contributing to their reliability, performance, and safety.

<li>Fabricate various components of UAVs using materials such as sheet metals, fittings, composites, electronic components, and plastics. This may involve, drilling, sealing, welding, wiring, and connecting materials and components according to specifications.</li>
<li>Assemble, integrate, and install UAV components and systems according to working instructions and engineering drawings. This includes integrating mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems into the UAV airframe.</li>
<li>Perform autonomous quality checks following quality instructions at various stages of production to ensure that components and subsystems meet specifications. Identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies in manufacturing processes.</li>
<li>Conduct tests and calibration procedures on UAV systems to verify performance and functionality. This may involve testing mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and assemblies.</li>
<li>Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/electronic/systems issues with UAV systems. Conduct repairs (properly defined) or replacements of faulty components or assemblies as necessary to ensure proper functioning.</li>
<li>Register and maintain accurate records of manufacturing processes, assembly procedures, quality inspections and repairs. Document any modifications or repairs made to UAV systems.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in manufacturing processes. Collaborate with team leads, engineers and other team members to implement enhancements and optimizations.</li>
<li>Adhere to industry regulations and safety standards and follow safety protocols during the manufacturing process.</li>

<h2>Requirements</h2>
<ul>
<li>Education and/or Professional training in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Metalwork technology, Mechatronics, or related fields. Some positions may only require a high school diploma or equivalent if accompanied by a proven relevant experience or certification.</li>
<li>Proven experience (2-5 years) in manufacturing operations, preferably in the aerospace or unmanned systems industry and/or aircraft maintenance (LMA A or B), repair and overhaul with an understanding of quality control systems.</li>
<li>Familiar with UAV platforms, components, and subsystems and understand the principles of flight control systems, avionics, navigation systems, communication systems, and payload integration.</li>
<li>Knowledge of health &amp; safety standards, environment regulations, regulatory compliance, and ethical considerations associated with aerial military vehicles.</li>

WHAT WILL YOU DO

SmartLynx Airlines is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Base Maintenance Technical Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical follow-up of maintenance checks, providing onsite support, and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role involves supervising contracted maintenance providers, attending daily production meetings, and ensuring effective communication between all teams involved.

Key Responsibilities:

	<li>Ensure agreed Man Hours (MH) and materials are adequate for defect rectification.</li>
	<li>Conduct random documentation and defect rectification quality checks.</li>
	<li>Ensure all findings are clearly recorded and reported.</li>
	<li>Ensure all structural repairs are performed in accordance with the Structural Repair Manual (SRM) or as per the Airbus Instructions Bulletin (AIB).</li>
	<li>Verify that additional man-hours raised are genuinely out of the scope of the check.</li>
	<li>Complete and sign Aircraft Delivery Certificates prepared by the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization.</li>
	<li>Update Maintenance Control Center (MCC)/Software Tracking Program (STP) against all remaining open Minimum Equipment List (MEL) items after the check.</li>
	<li>Analyze the outcome of each base maintenance event and propose mitigating actions.</li>

<li>Establish and maintain a Digital Mock-Up (DMU) and related digital workflows for effective planning, physical integration, and validation of system installations within the aircraft's digital twin model.</li>

<h2>Requirements</h2>
<ul>
<li>Engineering degree (BSc/MSc/Eng) in Aerospace, Aeronautics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.</li>
<li>Over 10 years of professional experience in aircraft-wide systems installation, with a strong focus on DMU, EWIS and Digital workflows. </li>
<li>Proven expertise in the aircraft structures, electrical and mechanical systems installation, aircraft systems integration and more electrical aircraft architectures within large aircraft categories (CS-25 or equivalent).</li>
<li>Experience with development of detail parts, assembly/sub-assembly, zoning, installation principles and aircraft wire routing.</li>
<li>Proficiency in digital tools and software for system design, simulation, and installation such as Siemens NX, Simcenter or equivalent.</li>
<li>Experience and knowledge of PLM systems such as Teamcenter or equivalent</li>
<li>Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative approach to engineering challenges coming out of system installation activities.</li>

Job Mission: As a Senior Airframe Design Engineer, you will be leading the design activities for an airframe component / work package such as fuselage section, wing sub-assemblies, flight control surfaces within a multifunctional product development team. The role is responsible for the planning of the design activities according program milestones to achieve the defined deliverables. Since the aircraft is a clean sheet design, you will focus on creating design principles according to defined requirements concerning performance, production processes and cost. The execution of the design work will be within a new digital workflow that enables data usage from all involved functions and over the full product life cycle. The usage of these digital threads and implementation of a new way of working is a key element of this role. Working cross-functionally, together with partners and supply chain, the role requires active communication and effective preparation of trades studies for early decision-making. Key objective is to achieve effective design principles and material selection to reach the product requirements but also to support supply chain production capabilities. It is the responsibility of the Senior Airframe Design Engineer to ensure the development and production processes are converging in agreed means of compliances towards certification phase. The role is part of the design organization technical delegation to demonstrate compliance of the design for certification.

Key Responsibilities:
