Ensure you meet the following requirements: <ul> <li>Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)</li> <li>2000 hours total time (fixed-wing aircraft)</li> <li>250 hours fixed-wing pilot-in-command time</li> <li>500 flight hours under CARs 705, or equivalent*</li> <li>Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating and Class 1 Medical Certificate</li> <li>Legally entitled to work in Canada (must hold Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or open work permit with PR application in process)</li> <li>Primary residence must be in Canada and eligible to obtain and maintain provincial health care</li> <li>All required visas or travel documents allowing for unrestricted travel</li> <li>Clear police background and criminal record check</li> <li>Oral and written proficiency in English</li> <li>Offers of employment are conditional on passing a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test</li> <li>Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) obtained prior to the completion of Initial Ground School</li></ul> Candidates with experience and additional qualifications that exceed minimum requirements will be given preference. Examples of additional qualifications include multi-engine, multi-crew, internal WestJet experience, or graduation from one of our partner schools. *Experience that will be considered equivalent to CARs 705 includes, but is not limited to, Part 121 or European Airline, heavy military transport/multi-engine, large corporate PIC operating under CARs 704, high performance multi-engine aircraft PIC operated under CARs 704 or multi-engine/multi-crew in aircraft over 25,000lbs. Compensation A competitive compensation package will be offered as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
