SUMMARY: The Captain is the face of Corporate Wings providing not only technically accurate and safe transportation but also providing a world-class service experience for the Owner and their guests. The Captain is expected to effectively wear many hats resulting in a concierge service level experience with roles ranging from professional aviator to in-flight service provider. This position is a dedicated crew position, flying the same Challenger 350 with a team of 5 total pilots. Position Summary To identify and correct malfunctioning jet, turboprop, and reciprocating multi-engine aircraft mechanical components and systems. Performs annual and progressive inspections as well as modification work on customer aircraft. Job Duties 1. Performs a variety of diagnostic and mechanical duties on one or more jet and/or turboprop, aircraft models involving diagnoses of malfunctions and required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft mechanically for flight and delivery to customer. Requires thorough knowledge of aircraft engines, mechanical systems, and components on all assigned aircraft. 2. Checks, corrects or replaces a variety of complex aircraft assemblies, landing gear systems, air conditioner system, pressurization system, and optional equipment installations. 3. Repairs or replaces engine components and accessory items such as fuel control units, fuel injection system, air bleed system, oil and fuel pumps, starter/generators, and hydraulic and vacuum pumps. 4. Training will include: Initial and recurrent aircraft training, emergency procedures training, crew coordination training, international procedures training, and other training as deemed necessary by management. </li> <li> Performs office tasks such as expense report and flight log preparation, international planning, aircraft flight manual and approach plate updates, and other tasks normally associated with day-to-day flight operations. </li> <li> Adhere to and support Flight Operations policies, procedures, guidelines and responsibilities. </li> <li> Communicate with and ensure department personnel are aware of noteworthy issues. </li> <li> Always maintains safety as the prime consideration for all operations. </li> </ul> EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: <ul> <li> Bachelor's degree required in Aviation Science or related degree </li> <li> FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument rating and Single/Multi-Engine Land ratings </li> <li> FAA Second Class medical or better, with ability to obtain an FAA First Class medical </li> <li> FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI) and FAA Flight Instructor Instrument Certificate (CFII) required </li> <li> 500 flight hours and 200 hours of dual given required </li> <li> Less than 2 years of professional experience in a relevant role </li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS : <ul> <li> US Passport or ability to successfully obtain is required </li> <li> FAA Multi-Engine Instructor Rating (MEI) preferred </li> <li> FAA Complex and High-performance endorsements preferred </li> <li> Previous classroom experience as a ground instructor preferred </li> <li> Familiarity with digital/glass flight decks preferred </li> <li> Must have valid driver's license </li> </ul> Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
